Sand dunes?
LOL. How cute it this. Check this out.Posted on Anderson portal:
Hello yall. Anybody unhappy about sand dunes coming out for the o's and rivers not coming out? Lolz. ---Chim Jia Hao, 4/1
It started because the strawberry shortcake was looking for funny things to be funny since he fucked up the Coastal question from Geography paper Two. And look at these replies.
oh sand dunes not in syllables?! No...it just come out for Os. Oh right.... Gosh... i asked a teacher and all i got was "sand dunes was not recorded as one of the depositional features students need to know"... Sigh, no one told cambridge? Hah, still its over... ---Toh Ling Yan, 4/6
Lol. Then this one.
though the thing is over and nth can be done to change the situation, it is still extremely disappointing to hear some teacher reply in such a manner. i mean, if they apologise over this misleading information, or at least freak out along with us, i'm cool with it. but now they give such lame reason like it's not their fault at all? if they hadn't mentioned anything and we choose not to study it on our own accord, then fine. but now the problem doesn't lie with us. what's more, months ago when a student brought up the topic of sanddunes in class and argued that it IS in the syllabus, our dear geog teacher even INSISTED that is not. but oh no, it's not their fault at all now.
juniors should now think twice about whatever teachers say. must always learn cross-check with other reference, cause we don't have a reliable source in our school.
and let me rephrase what one of the basic rules of the forums into something for the people responsible for this incident. Consider carefully what you say, it's a permanent record to the students, and can reflect badly on yourself.
we ain't too harsh in our words here. it's just that we don't see other school teachers telling their students sand dunes is out of syllabus simply because it was not stated in that whatever crap thing. go brush up on your inference skills, please.---Poh Li Wen, 4/6
My. Come on lah, teachers in Anderson are the best around already okay? You think they prefer to rack their brains to spot the questions for you? UNAPPRECIATIVE LOT. No rivers, no tourisms, sad, TOO BAD LAH. Don't blame the teachers alright. Besides, quote Priscilla,
I think the MOE website will be some help as to whether the sand dunes are in the syllabus or not.

Page 9 of 24 didn't state any sand dunes.
So I don't think it is our teachers' fault. But that's a lesson learnt too--if you see sand dunes, skip the question. :S---Priscilla Koh Su Hua, 4/4
The teachers didn't force you to do that question did they? If you've really mugged hard enough you'll know very well how to do vegetation, climate, weathering yada yada. Go ahead and whine all you want because you f-up the coastal question, but blame it on yourself!!! Anderson teachers rock!
Whatever the fact is, if you are really good, and if you see sand dunes, and YOU HAVE A FREAKING 6 OTHER QUESTIONS, then by all means, do others. Heck that Coastal question. There's no certainty in doing rigidly Coastal just because you studied for it. It's about the whole thing, whole geography subject.---Ong Wei Siang, 4/2
They taught you SO much, went through SO much work with you, mark your 20 essays (with the exception of Eh-ren), came up with all sorts of ways to help you better remember your work, made the effort to go through your mistakes with you in class and you blame your f-up Geography paper on them.
Yah, I didn't do that dumb Coastal question. Uh, because I thought it was so obvious that the four easiest questions in the paper are Plate Tectonics, Population, Settlements and Weathering, or Agriculture if you studied for that.
So whatever it is, we can't blame the Geography teachers. They'll be so damn sad if they see what's posted on the forum. Mrs Lim still rocks
I can't believe Arthur was one of those who blamed it on the teachers. What a dumb alien. Nobody robbed you of your dumb marks in the dumb coastal question! You chose to do it yourself!!
Zzz.

Ah. Enough of it. EMaths today was okay, and it's 5 days to end of O'Levels, SEVEN more papers to go. :D
Bye!
